Sunnybrook Children’s Home.

Sunnybrook Children’s Home is a Christ centered nonprofit that serves Mississippi’s hurting young people in two ways:

We have been serving Mississippi’s vulnerable children in foster care by providing home through our residential program for over 56 years. Here, our kids get the chance to live their lives as kids while we provide them with hope and healing. Whether they are here for two months or two years, we delight in the opportunity to begin rewriting a different (and better!) ending to the story of our kids who have been dealt a rough hand at no fault of their own.

Through our Sunnybrook Cares Program, we serve Mississippi foster families with Sunset Hill, our beautiful hospitality home located in the wide open countryside of Flora, Mississippi. Here, foster families have the opportunity to enjoy a free weekend of rest and restoration- with the end goal of keeping them from becoming a part of the 50% burnout rate statistic that currently looms over the foster crisis. This program also works to connect foster families and child care advocates with the community and resources needed to succeed.

This nonprofit is special as it has actively been rewriting the stories of hurting kids for more than 5 decades. Our founder had a vision to ensure that Mississippi children would have a safe and loving place to call home, and though the means have grown and developed, the mission is the same: We provide home to vulnerable kids who need it.
